GRIDIRON WEST DINNER 2002 ł KUDOS MARC DELAUNAY (President, DeLaunay Communications)I attended the Gridiron West Dinner last night. What a fantastic event. My congratulations to you and everyone else involved. The Washington News Council now has another great fan. COLLIN TONG (WSU Westside Communications Director) Congrats on a great evening -- you really did a marvelous job -- people at our table are still talking about what a great time they had. ADA LOU WHEELER (Public relations consultant)Accolades and congratulations and other nice things, because your party last night was just incredibly wonderful—. I donĂt know how you got those Governors, all five of them, together at one time and date. The Emcee was wonderful, the music was wonderful, there was no lag, nothing was boring. And on top of that the meal was delicious. TERESA MOORE (President, Moore Ink. Public Relations) It was a fabulous event. Congratulations on the record turnout! I thought the roasting and toasting were great. Keep the same emcee and singers -- fabulous! MIKE EGAN (Emcee)I just wanted to say what an extraordinary dinner and what a fantastic job by that Emcee. What a fine upstanding young fellow he is. A real bright kid -- and handsome! DAVID HORSEY (P-I cartoonist) We thought this year's event was the best yet—. Just make sure you don't let Mike Egan get away. He is fantastic and could easily do the whole show himself. PETER HORVITZ (Publisher, Eastside Journal) The songs were hilarious and Mike Egan cracked me up. BILL GATES SR. (former WNC member) Mike Egan was at his best and that is darn good. The vocalists were excellent. But the highlight was the consistently clever and relevant lyrics you wrote. The ¦Do Re Mi˛ and ¦Tim Eyman˛ songs were just marvelous in particular. ADELE FERGUSON (Toaster) You know the interesting thing about all those Governors that I noticed about them? Their teeth are all going. I thought their teeth all looked bad. But, God, I would never write that or say it! RALPH MUNRO (Toaster)Good show. Everyone laughed a lot and had a good time. Sam Reed has real potential as a roaster but we need a better mike at the piano next year. SAM REED (Toaster)My apologies for mangling my song. Geesch—.Congratulations on a very successful dinner! The attendance was terrific, the emcee and singers were terrific, and the rest of us were spotty—. |
